Nowadays and in the society in which we move, there are different perspectives and methods to evaluate the performance, trend or impact of strategy.
Semana Magazine, has elaborated a study related to the best schools, universities and STEM skills, based on the experiences of the principals of the highest ranked schools and institutions of higher education.
The interdisciplinary integration called STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or academic areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics) constitute a new educational perspective that responds to avant-garde trends and the projection of future citizens of the world, not only for the emphasis on science and technology, but to the great challenges such as climate change and pandemics.
Through the analysis of Semana magazine, it is possible to find coincidences among the interviewees, since they agree that, in principle, it is required to develop in students, very solid bases and foundations in such areas, so that, when they reach the transition between high school and university, STEM skills are a strength or advantage to enter the most desired careers and not a difficulty that prevents them from achieving their dreams.
This is evident in our graduating classes, most of whom are accepted and awarded scholarships by the best universities in the country and the world in undergraduate programs in engineering, medicine, physics, chemistry, facilitating access to both men and women who stand out at the university and work level.
STEM education will no longer be for a subset of disciplines, but we will all need skills of this nature that will enable us to develop our professions in a digital world.
The article in Semana, uses the analysis that, for 19 years, Dinero magazine has been doing, based on the results of the Saber Tests, in which the knowledge and skills of all students in the country are evaluated in areas related to STEM; the overall ranking places Colegio Los Ángeles in the 18th position nationally, as well as showing the performance of the best schools by subject, in which we are in outstanding positions.
